Much more than a toy, smartphones offer a whole new way of seeing photographically. This new medium has its pros and cons, but most of all, it’s FUN. We’ll start out by helping you learn the basics of smart phone photography, navigating your phone, and then we’ll delve into some of the seemingly endless “apps.” Emphasis will be on iPhones. This technology is quickly changing. We can now do infrared photography, high resolution RAW (ACR) images (on the iPhone 14 and newer) for big enlargements. And then there are the alway-controversial AI apps. Be ready to purchase a few suggested apps. (cellphone applications) when you’re at the workshop, so have your password with you.
