Bodie Exteriors

Now a ghost town, Bodie was once one of the wildest places in the West. Located in a forlorn high-desert corner of eastern California near the Nevada border, it is now managed as Bodie State Historic Park, kept in a state of “arrested decay.” That translates to buildings that are propped up and re-roofed, but the interiors are allowed to weather. The results can be spectacular. As a photographer, I’ve been there again and again over the years. For the last ten years, I’ve led photography workshops to this amazing place. Today hundreds of thousands of visitors come here each year from all over the world. These images (and many more) are available for purchase as prints from my online Imagekind gallery and also as prints and downloadable images for publication at this site. If you don’t see what you want, get in touch.
