Spring is a time of renewal in the Yosemite Valley, the heart of Yosemite National Park, one of America's most popular tourist destinations. Here, in this dawn photo (available in both 35mm and 6x7 formats), Yosemite Falls roars with spring snowmelt following a heavy winter, while trees swell with new spring green. Catastrophic flooding devastated the Yosemite Valley in January, 1997.
