Marine Iguanas Galapagos |
||
|
Fearsome in appearance, marine iguanas are harmless to humans. They are utterly fearless of humans and often one has to be careful not to step on one of these reptiles, which can reach several feet in length. These are the only marine iguanas in the world, and here in the Galapagos they feast on undersea algae. Here a lava lizard cozies up to an iguana. |
