Lagoon Light

During our stay in the Cuyabeno Reserve, we traveled by dugout canoe each evening to either the Laguna Grande or the Mateo Gocha, the latter the night roosting area for hundreds of orange-winged parrots.

A couple of different times we saw amazing cirrus rainbows on top of thunderheads. On a couple of occasions the thunderheads brought rain. Every night we could hear thunder close or far away, in the direction of the Andes.
