Glacier Bay 2005

A stroll in the rainforest at Bartlett Cove, at the mouth of Glacier Bay in Glacier Bay National Park, reveals this water lily, an eerie sap-covered totem (a 1999 version is in the email graphic at the bottom of this page), and a rock reflected in a blackwater lagoon.

Traveling by bicycle around Gustavus reveals views of crumbling pilings, a lengthy dock, an immature bald eagle, and back at the inn, a nest of hungry barn swallow fledglings.
