At Marble Islands in Glacier Bay, the noise was deafening, not only from these roaring Steller sea lions, but also from the thousands of nesting gulls and puffins who crowded the rocks.
A minus tide in front of Glacier Bay Lodge afforded glimpses of dozens of sea stars, shown here, sea anemones, sea cucumbers and other marine life. Here, too, we discovered hundreds of sea urchins.
