This eagle in eastern Prince William Sound, Alaska, was concerned because Betty was photographing the young in its nest from high atop a neighboring tree. This region of the Sound escaped the devastation incurred by the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill, but the area has recently been subjected to clearcut logging.
