Spasski Island

A rocky, seaweed-covered islet at the east end of Icy Strait, Spasski Island fairly bursts with life, including these ruddy turnstones (left) and tufted puffins (below). A whale fed in the shallows as a pair of nesting bald eagles watched the action.
