Camp Denali

An inholding dating from the late 1940s near Wonder Lake, Camp Denali and neighboring North Face Lodge boast some of the most gorgeous views anywhere. We stayed in a one-room log cabin complete with quilts, wood stove and water faucet and outhouse outside. En route our small bus stopped for a riverside picnic (below) that proved to be quite the feast.

During our stay in a storybook one-room log cabin complete with quilts and a wood burning stove, we ate well. In between we fit in some spectacular hiking and wildlife-viewing adventures.

Books, chess board and handmade chairs beckon Camp Denali visitors to the main lodge.
A rainbow glows over Nugget Pond at Camp Denali. Denali, to the right, looks small in this wide-angle photo.
