Life Aboard the Delphinus

The Delphinus features the best of both worlds: a pampered environment for up to eight passengers yet access to the most intimate of Southeast Alaska places.

Left above: The 50-foot Delphinus anchors in Scenery Cove while a small group explores the shoreline Because of the size of the boat, staterooms are very tiny. Water is limited, so showers must be short.

Above: The Delphinus carries several kayaks for close exploration of the shoreline.

However, all this exploration makes everybody hungry! So...

Left: In 2004,we had wonderful Melissa, a professional chef. Each cook brings his or her personal style to the great food. The food varies every year, depending on the cook.

Above: Halibut cheeks. This delicacy, considered the best part of the fish, is difficult to find outside of Alaska. Fresh, fresh seafood has always been a highlight of traveling in Alaska.
